Cambodia - Is now officially known as the Kingdom of Cambodia. Cambodia is an Asian Country and shares borders with Thailand, Laos, Vietnam and faces the Gulf of Thailand in the south. The stability established following the conflicts was last shaken in 1997 during a coup d'état, but has otherwise remained in place. Cambodia has been aided by a number of more developed nations like Japan, France, Germany, Canada, and Australia. The United States and Great Britain were reluctant to provide aid due to its relationship with China, one of its greatest trading partners. Cambodia now looks ahead to 2011 where commercial extraction oil and natural gas deposits were found beneath Cambodia's territorial waters will commence. These new found deposits of oil should generate revenues that could profoundly affect Cambodia's economy
