Nepal

Nepal - Is officially known as the democratic federal republic of Nepal. Nepal is an Asian Country and is completely surrounded by other countries which mean it has no ports of sea. Nepal shares borders with China and India. The newly formed interim parliament declared Nepal a democratic federal republic at its first meeting in May 2008, the king vacated the throne in mid-June 2008, and parliament elected the country's first president the following month. Neolithic tools found in Nepal indicate that people have been living in the Himalayan region for at least 9,000 years. It appears that people who were probably of Ki rant ethnicity lived in Nepal 2,500 years ago. Nepal contains eight of world's 10 highest peaks, including Mount Everest and Kanchenjunga - the world's tallest and third tallest. Agriculture is the main fuel of the economy, providing a living for three-fourths of the population and accounting for 38% of the nations Gross Domestic Product. Industrial activity mainly involves the processing of agricultural produce including jute, sugarcane, tobacco, and grain.
