Afghanistan

Afghanistan - is officially known as the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan.
Centrally located in the heart of the Asian continent, Afghanistan is completely surrounded by other countries which means it has no sea ports.
It has language, religous, and geographic ties with most of its neighboring states. It shares borderes with neighboring, Pakistan in the south and east, Iran in the west, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan and Tajikistan in the north, and China in the far northeast.

Over the years Afghanistan has seen numberous invaders and would be conquerors, while at the same time, it's own local groups invaded the surrounding regions to create their own empires.

Afghanistan is divided into thirty-four (34) provinces (States). Hopefully soon the country will settle down so more tourist can visit.
